Game of War: Fire Age – Hero – Food Production

Game of War: Fire Age – Hero – Food ProductionIn Game of War: Fire Age, there are several different ways to acquire food in order to feed a massive army. The primary ways are simply to build lots of high level farms and harvest food. But there will come a point that this will not be enough. You can craft items that help increase your overall food production as well. Or, you can invest in skill points in your hero to increase overall food production.

In reality, you’re probably going to do a combination of everything that I listed above. But for right now, I’m going to talk specifically about effectively using your hero’s skill points to increase food production. I suggest going down the right side of the hero skill tree and maximizing only food production, construction, and research. Everything else you put points into is simply a prerequisite to move up the tree. Here is an example of what I put my points into when I start leveling up my hero…

Tier 1:
Troop Attack – 2 Points for prerequisite
Food Production – 5 Points (+18%)

Tier 2:
Construction – 10 Points (+40%)
Research – 10 Points (+40%)

Tier 3:
Stone Production – 3 Points for prerequisite

Tier 4:
Ore Production – 3 Points for prerequisite

Tier 5:
Silver Production – 5 Points for prerequisite
Gatherer – (optional, none required)

Tier 6:
Food Production II – 20 Points (+130%)

Tier 7:
Wood Production II – 5 Points for prerequisite

Tier 8:
Ore Production II – 5 Points for prerequisite

Tier 9:
Silver Production II – 5 Points for prerequisite
Research II – 20 Points (+65%)

Tier 10:
Construction II – 20 Points (+65%)

Tier 11:
Gatherer II – 5 Points for prerequisite (optional 20 points gives you 111%)

Tier 12:
Food Production III – Up to 50 Points (for example, 38 points gives you +400%)

By the time your hero is in your mid-20’s, you can have Food Production I & II maximized, which gives you a total of +148% food production. In addition to this you’ll have Construction and Research maximized, which gives you +40% in each. This is too huge to pass up so I highly suggest maximizing both.

By your late 30’s or early 40’s, you should be well into maximizing Food Production III. I suggest going as high as you need. The higher you go up Food Production III, the more per point you get. At 38 points out of 50, you will have +400% food production (just from Food Production III, this doesn’t count any other bonuses). So you will have to judge for yourself how many points you need to invest to keep your army fed.

You’ll notice that in Tier 5 and Tier 11, I put maximizing Gatherer and Gatherer II as optional. This will significantly help you increase your gathering speed if you choose to put points in this. However, as far as I can tell it only increases the gathering speed of the group that your hero is in. So if you send out two separate marches to gather resources in two separate areas, only the marching group that contains your hero will receive the gathering bonus from your hero. Your researched gathering bonuses will apply to all of your troops though.

Obviously the negative of going down the right side, the economic side, of the skill tree is that you don’t get all of the attack, defense, and troop/trap building bonuses. But the positive side is that you are able to build your kingdom much faster and support a large amount of troops, which can gather more resources for you quickly. You’ll have to supplement their attack and defense bonuses by making sure your hero’s items are properly slotted with effective gems. But setting up your hero’s skills this way in the beginning of the game will help you grow quickly.
