Game of War: Fire Age – What To Spend Your Gold On?

Game of War: Fire Age – What To Spend Your Gold On?, I definitely can’t speak for anyone else, but when it comes to Game of War: Fire Age, I only spend my in-game Gold on a few specific items. I don’t buy Gold very much at all, so what Gold I do have I am very picky on what I spend it on. Here is a list of things that I purchase with Gold in Game of War: Fire Age, and why I choose what I choose.

  • VIP 30 Days (4,000 Gold)

If you are at VIP 8, 9, or 10, I highly recommend getting the VIP 30 Days. The biggest thing with this is that it basically doubles the amount of quests you get and allows you to auto-complete all of them, saving you a ton of time. On top of that, it gives you a bunch of extra bonuses. If you acquire any Daily Chances or Alliances Chances, you can auto-complete those too. This allows your Hero to level up much faster than normal.

  • Advanced Teleport (1,500 Gold)

If you’re into moving around a lot, it’s a lot easier to purchase an Advanced Teleport with 1,500 Gold than it is to save up the 400,000 Loyalty you need to purchase them in the Alliance Store.

  • Equipment Bag (1,000 Gold)

This gives you four new slots in your crafting inventory. In the beginning, this won’t be a big deal. But once you start building a Construction Gear Set, a Research Gear Set, and a Battle Gear Set, you’ll start to realize that you may need the extra room.

  • Golden Pickaxe (1,000 Gold)

If you have a Gold Mine and you want to upgrade it, you’ll need the Golden Pickaxe. Enough said…

  • Sacrificial Dagger, Iron Shackle, Book of War (Cost Varies)

These items are used to upgrade your Altar, Prison, and Hall of War. I purchase them in stacks of 1,000 each for 10,000 Gold because it is the most efficient way of doing it. It starts to get very expensive towards the end there, but if you want to get Tier 4 Troops you’ll need to bite the bullet and start purchasing massive quantities of these.

  • Torch (20 Gold)

Sometimes I decide that I need to destroy a building. I am impatient. If it is going to take me a long time, I just purchase a Torch and burn that sucker to the ground. So much faster than waiting…

  • Advanced Speed Up Chest (24,000 Gold)

If you’re really looking to speed up your growth, there is no better way to do it than a bunch of these. You get so many different levels of Speed Ups that you can really start pumping up your building levels, speeding up research, or crank out extra troops if you need them.

  • Master’s Hammer (2,000 Gold)

If you want a Level 21 building, you need one of these.

So that’s what I spend my Gold on. It’s just my opinion but I’ve never spent it on anything else besides that stuff I mentioned and a Peace Shield or two when I was in a real bind. I’m sure other people have opinions, but in general this is what I stick to spending my hard earned Gold on. What do you spend yours on?

Game of War: Fire Age – What Is The Purpose Of An Encampment?

Game of War: Fire Age – What Is The Purpose Of An Encampment? In Game of War: Fire Age, one question that comes up a lot is, “What is the purpose of an encampment?” In the beginning of the game, I asked myself that question a lot. In all honesty, I personally don’t see a ton of use with the ability. I almost wonder if it is something that they’ve placed in the game because other similar games have done it. Or, if they are possibly going to use it for something else down the road. At any rate, here are a few uses for encampments in the game.

Buffering Your Cluster – If your alliance has a large cluster of players in an area, you can use encampments around the clusters as a buffer. This buffer help when an enemy player ports in and tries to attack your cluster. The bigger the “buffer” around your cluster, the more tiles your enemy’s troops have to travel over to get to you. This makes their attacks take longer since they are forced to port out further away and attack you.

Hiding Troops – There are better ways to hide troops, but one quick and simple option is to just send them away. If you need to hide your troops, pick an empty tile far away from your city and send your troops there. They will stay on that tile till you recall them back to your city. In my opinion, there are better ways to “hide” your troops, such as a Rally Defense (aka, Shield Rally), but this is an option.

Saving A Spot – Lets say your alliance has a large cluster of players in one area. All the players are neatly packed together for defensive purposes, intimidation factor, or whatever reason. You have you’re little spot right in the middle of the cluster. But you decide you’re going to port away to attack someone or to farm elsewhere for a while. However, you don’t want to lose your spot in case you decide to come back. Just put an encampment in your old spot once you leave. This will make it so no one else can take up that spot while you’re gone.

Sorry if you expected a lot more with this answer. Overall, I personally see very little use for encampments as the game stands now. It takes up one of your march slots which, to me, is a very high price to pay. If the developers change the game down the road and allow you to do more with encampments, such as stage troops closer to an enemy for an attack, then I will find them a lot more useful. But as it is right now, I generally don’t use them at all.

Do you have any special tactics or uses for encampments in Game of War: Fire Age?

Game of War: Fire Age – Tips For Winning Events

Game of War: Fire Age – Tips For Winning EventsThe post was entirely inspired by a comment one of our readers left. Although I use some of these tactics to win events, all of these suggestions were posted as a comment on one of our articles. I’m re-posting them here for all to see. Here are some simple tips for winning some of the common events you will encounter in Game of War: Fire Age.

Trap Build Event – Build bricks, destroy them, and build more. If you are a prolific trap builder, leave some space (maybe 2,500) for building bricks for these events. It is the easiest way to do well in this event.

  • Troop Build Event – Build Tier 1 troops. They are the easiest and cheapest to build.

Troop Kill Event – Kill off your Tier 1 troops with a friend. You can send them to an encampment and have your friend kill them, and vice versa. This may not be an option for you if you don’t have many friends outside of your alliance, but a lot of big alliances are made up of more than one alliance. All you need is one person that will reciprocate. You may want to wait till the end of the event when it goes to double points, but you risk someone else killing those troops in the mean time.

Trap Kill Event – If you have farm accounts, wait until it is double points and kill bricks in your farm accounts. Like the troop kill event though, if you wait too long you risk losing those traps to someone else.

Casino Event – Only use the free daily spins. Save up all other casino chips for these events until you have enough to win the prizes. You may have to wait though one event if you don’t gain casino chips quickly. Skip the event if the prizes aren’t good, they may be better next go around.

There are many, many other tactics for winning these events, or at winning the lower level prizes for it. But for newer players, these are some of the easiest ways to accomplish that. What tips do you have for winning events?

Game of War: Fire Age – How To Create Multiple Accounts

Game of War: Fire Age – How To Create Multiple AccountsI have a simple topic to go over today with Game of War: Fire Age. I am going to go over how to create multiple accounts and how to play multiple accounts on one server. It is pretty easy but there isn’t really a guide on how to do it that I found. You just have to kind of figure some of these things out for yourself.

I am going to assume that since you are looking up how to create and play multiple accounts in Game of War: Fire Age, you probably already have one active account going. If you have not already done so, you need to associate that game account with a MZ account.

To do this, go to “More” and then to “Accounts and Devices”. You will create a MZ account that uses an e-mail address for the login and a password. You also have the option to choose a pin code for added security, but this is not necessary. Once your first account has a MZ account associated with it, you can now login to the Game of War: Fire Age application on any device and it will load up that account.

Now to create your second account, you will simply select the “Log Out” button under “More” and “Accounts and Devices”. This will log you out of that account and take you out of Game of War: Fire Age. Then you restart the game.

You will be brought to a login screen that asks for your MZ Account E-mail and Password. You can always log in to your primary account by doing this. But, to create a second account you select the “+Start New Game” button in the bottom left hand corner. This will create a new game account.

Once you’ve created that second game account, you will need to create a MZ account that uses a second e-mail address for the login and a password. You also have the option to choose a pin code for added security, just like you did with your primary account.

From this point on you can log in and out of each account by going to “More” and then to “Accounts and Devices”. You can log out of the current account you are in and then login to the other account you want to play. You can play as many accounts as you want this way, but each account will need its own unique e-mail address.

One thing to note, if your secondary account ends up starting on a different server than your primary account, you can always teleport yourself to a different server. You must do it before your new account passes up Stronghold level 5. If your primary account is Stronghold level 5 or lower, you could always teleport to the new server, but most likely your Stronghold on your primary account will be higher level than that.

Hopefully this gives you an idea on how to create and play multiple Game of War: Fire Age accounts. There is actually more than one way to do this, but this is how I did it and it works if you only have one device (like an iPhone or iPad). If you have multiple devices there are a few other options on how to do it, but this way will work no matter which device you have or how many of them you are using.

Finally, if you’re not interested in actually creating another account and going through the entire process of leveling it up, you could always buy another that is for sale.  I wrote a post about the potential benefits and pitfalls of buying Game of War accounts for sale.   It can be a little scary at first if you’ve never done it before, but the major bonus is cutting out the initial playing time that it takes to level up an account.  So that is always another option besides creating your own new account.

Game of War: Fire Age – Free Gold, Hacks, Cheats and Other Nonsense

Game of War: Fire Age – Free Gold, Hacks, Cheats and Other NonsenseNot a week goes by that I don’t receive some sort of e-mail asking me why my Game of War: Fire Age cheat, hack, or free gold application didn’t work. Some of e-mails are sheepish questions about how to make the cheat work, while others are downright demanding on me fixing or repairing my program. Here are just a few excerpts from e-mails I’ve received recently:

Hi I have tried your hack page many times but it doesn’t work for me. I follow all the steps and have completed the Human Verification but still get no extra rss in my game. What is going wrong?

I followed the instructions. To get gold and nothing was put in to my game .. ?? Why was it not sent

i recently downloaded your cheat page and also your request to subscribe to a sponsor. I have not received any of the gold or resources requested. i have completed all stages of what was required of me. Please respond asap

I’ve tried the cheat but its not working. I’ve did the survey was wondering if this is real

NEWS FLASH: I don’t have a Game of War: Fire Age cheat, hack, or anything else like that.  I don’t condone cheating of any kind.

I’ve never found a gold hack or cheat for Game of War: Fire Age. That doesn’t mean they aren’t out there. I’ve never actually gone around looking for one so I’m sure it is certainly possible they exist. However, please ponder these few ideas before you go looking for some hacking program or online cheat for the game.

Why do you want to be a cheat and a fraud? Why do you feel the need for cheating just to compete in a mobile game? I’m not trying to make you feel bad, but the fact of the matter is that Game of War: Fire Age is pay to win. The earlier you accept that the better off you’ll be in game. Learn to enjoy the game for what it is, even if you can’t acquire (by legitimate or illegitimate means) enough gold to compete.

I have to assume that even if there is a gold cheat that works out there, the VAST MAJORITY of them do not work and are just there to farm you’re e-mail address, account information, credit card information, or whatever piece of information you’re dumb enough to give them. Do you really want to take that chance? It’s not worth it.

I’m not going to get into a long diatribe about this. Here are two pieces of advice for any player out there thinking about cheating:

1) Have fun playing the game it was meant to be played.
2) If you get burned trying to cheat, you deserved it.

Game of War: Fire Age – Buy, Sell, or Trade Game of War Accounts

Game of War: Fire Age – Buy, Sell, or Trade Game of War AccountsIf you are a player in Game of War: Fire Age for any length of time, eventually you will be approached to buy, sell, or trade Game of War accounts. There are numerous websites and paths for these different transactions to be completed. But before you attempt to buy, sell, or trade a Game of War: Fire Age account, there are a few things you need to be aware of.

Account Transfers Are Against the Terms of Use

Transferring an account, whether it is buying, selling, or trading is against the terms of use listed by Machine Zone, Inc. The terms of use specify that your account is for your personal use only. You specifically agree not to sell, offer to sell, rent, lease, trade or otherwise transfer the account. This also goes for anything related to an account, such as gold, other virtual currencies, game resources, in-game services like speed-ups, or any other in-game item associated with the account.

With that being said, the above listed transactions are generally an accepted part of the game. Just know what you’re getting into if you partake in any of these dealings. There is a good chance that if you are caught doing so the account may be suspended or permanently banned. Also, if something goes wrong during the deal Machine Zone customer service isn’t going to help you fix the issue (not like they help with other issues really anyway, hehe).

  • Buying and Selling Accounts

If you decide on buying or selling an account, there are several different things you should be aware of. First off look at the kingdom you are dealing with. Accounts in older kingdoms tend to sell for less money because there is a larger quantity of high level accounts available. There are also more high level players on older kingdoms, so moving up in the rankings is more difficult which makes the account less valuable.

Accounts in newer kingdoms tend to sell for more money because there are less high level accounts available. There are also less high level players on newer kingdoms, so acquiring a high level account in a newer kingdom can allow a player to make a bigger impact more quickly. They will be able to help their alliance more and challenge for the Wonder easier.

Stronghold Level 14 farm accounts that are maxed out for production of a single resource and have a high level hero specced for the resource are very valuable. As are Stronghold Level 21 farms that are maxed out for a single resource with an appropriately setup hero. Land Mines or Rally Traps are also fairly valuable as well. Finally, just a solid “main” account that is set up for a player to immediately come in and be competitive is also very valuable.

Overall, account prices will vary heavily from account to account and kingdom to kingdom.

  • Potential Buyers

New Players – There are newer players who don’t want to spend the time to level up an account. This may be their first account transaction in the game. They find value in paying a small amount of money (for them) to bypass all the hours it takes to get to either T3 or T4.

Current Players – Some more tenured players may purchase for a variety of reasons. They may be looking for additional farm accounts, they may be looking to switch realms, or they may want to change their setup or play style but they don’t want to go through the hassle of completely restructuring their account.

Power Players – To some players they are big spenders, to others they are “whales”. These are the players that spend an inordinate amount of money buying gold packs and resources. Money is less of an object to them and purchasing another account could be for a variety of reasons. Most of the purchased accounts are used as farm accounts.

If you are selling an account, I recommend talking to the prospective buyer (if this is realistic) to get a feel for them and why they are buying the account. Simply talking to someone can help give you an idea if they are a legitimate potential buyer or someone looking to scam you over.

  • Beware of Scammers

Some transaction methods are better than others, but transferring an account in any way (buying, selling, or trading) comes with the risk of being scammed. You may get scammed out of your money when trying to purchase an account or lose your account without getting paid for it if you’re trying to sell. The worst part about it is, since these deals are against the terms of use, Machine Zone is not going to do anything to help you recover your losses.

Typically buyers and sellers will use PayPal to fund transactions. The buyer usually sends the seller money through PayPal. The buyer then sends the e-mail address they want to use for the game account to the seller. The seller will update the e-mail address to the buyer’s provided e-mail address. An e-mail confirmation is sent to the buyer’s account. The buyer changes the PIN to the account. That completes the sale.

Just be aware that to my knowledge a buyer cannot reverse a transaction through PayPal for digital property. In other words, if you pay for a Game of War account using PayPal and the deal goes bad PayPal isn’t going to refund your money.

If you’re buying one possible thing that could go wrong is that the seller simply doesn’t change the e-mail address after the buyer transfers the money. Or, if you’re selling an account and make the mistake of changing the e-mail address is changed, the buyer can change the account’s PIN and doesn’t have to pay. There are a multitude of ways to be scammed, but those are two common ones.

  • How to Avoid Being Scammed

Golden Rule #1: If the deal feels weird, just don’t do it.

Golden Rule #2: If the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Using middlemen can increase the cost of the transactions but may take away some of the risk. Or using a reputable broker site to buy or sell at may mitigate risk as well. Ask other players in your alliance or people that play the game that you trust. They can generally give you a good idea on safer ways to complete these transactions. Asking in a general chat, trading rooms, or forums is just asking for trouble.

  • Account Marketplaces

Here is a list of several player to player account marketplaces and accounts brokers. BE ADVISED, use these websites at your own risk! Game Mastery Pro does not support or endorse any of these websites specifically. There are dozens, if not hundreds of them available on the internet. These are just a few.

eBay.com – It’s eBay…
EpicNPC – A player to player account marketplace
Game of War Exchange – Primarily for resources, not accounts
GOW4Sale.com – A player to player account marketplace
PlayerAuctions.com – A player to player account marketplace
PlayerTrade.net – Not recommended, known to be a scammer site
PlayerUp – A player to player account marketplace

  • Conclusion

Just remember, buying, selling, or trading accounts in Game of War: Fire Age is against the terms of use and can be a risky endeavor. However, it is definitely part of the game and isn’t going away any time soon. Just know that you are making these transactions at your own risk.

For players looking to get out of the game selling an account can be a way of recouping some money from the time and money they have already invested in the game. For those actively playing the game, it can be a way of saving time and short-cutting to their eventual in-game goals, whatever those may be.

Finally, I’ve already said it several times throughout this article but it bears repeating. If any transaction feels funny to you, don’t do it. It’s not worth losing your account or money over if you’re not confident that the deal will go through. Talk to players in your alliances or friends that have completed these transactions successfully before attempting to buy, sell, or trade accounts in Game of War: Fire Age.

Game of War: Fire Age – Alliance – Banking Account

Game of War: Fire Age – Alliance – Banking AccountOnce you get to the higher levels of Game of War: Fire Age, things start to cost a lot more resources. This means you have to gather and save a lot more resources. This makes you a much bigger target. Your option is to have a shield up while you are gathering resources or take your chances that no one scouts and attacks you for your stockpiled resources. I’d like to go over another option for your alliance, an “Alliance Bank”.

Our alliance has an alliance bank account. This account is a secondary account that one of our Level IV players maintains. This account has no need for troops or traps. And this account ALWAYS has a shield on. Players from our alliance send resources there to be stored safely. When we need it back, we let the banker know and they send it back to us. Our resources are safely stored until we need them, but at a cost.

How an Alliance Bank account work…

We have a Rank IV that has been with the alliance a long time. He is a very trustworthy, active, and smart player. He created a second account that is physically located in the middle of our cluster. He took a couple weeks to build up this account. This account has no need for troops, traps, Hospitals, a Prison, a Hall of War, or an Altar. He created one of each mandatory building, lots of Villas, and a balance of Farms, Logging Camps, Mines, and Quarries on this account. The purpose of the account is strictly to be used as a bank so our alliance members can send resources, via the Marketplace, and store them with the bank account.

There are two costs for this Alliance Bank. Each member must pay the banker a 1-Day Shield once a month if they are using the bank. In theory, if thirty members participate in doing this the bank will always have a shield on. (If you had someone willing to buy a 30-Day Shield, the charge may be different though.) The second cost is the tax the Marketplace takes when you send resources to the bank and later when the bank sends resources back. I think for most people that ends up being about 30% of the resources. For example, if you send 1 million Stone to be stored, you’ll probably get about 700 thousand back when you finally withdraw it.

PROS:
– Can safely store an unlimited amount of resources for an entire alliance.
– Users of the bank can still fight without losing their shield protection.
– If used properly, you should never be vulnerable to losing large amounts of resources.
– Easy to trade one resource for another with another player using the bank.

CONS:
– Finding a banker to keep track of everything.
– Having to pay “tax” twice (The cost of sending it to the bank and the cost of the bank sending it back).
– Does not work well for alliances that don’t use a cluster/hub.
– Have to wait time to get your resources back.
– Vulnerable to sabotage.

When this idea was first brought up in our alliance, I initially was against it. The cost of a 1-Day Shield per month and losing 30% of all the resources you stored just seemed so high to me… until I was repeatedly smashed and lost tens of millions of resources. The first time you are stockpiling resources to purchase something high-level and lose tens of millions of resources you may rethink the idea. Since then, I’ve participated in the program and having nothing but good things to say about it. To date, our Alliance Bank currently holds a total of 300 million resources, all safe from thieves.

If you decide to participate, I recommend a couple things. Keep track of everything you send to the bank. Your banker should be tracking it, but you should keep track of it too just to make sure you are both on the same page. The banker will be keeping track of multiple accounts that are constantly changing. Our banker says he feels like an accountant in the game.

Secondly, once you’ve stockpiled enough resources to build whatever you’re working towards, like the next level of your Stronghold or a high-level research topic, withdraw your resources and use them. Don’t just keep stockpiling large amounts of resources because you love having millions upon millions of resources hoarded in this cool bank your alliance setup. Use it to keep resources safe, but USE THEM.

Third, be generous to your banker. It truly is a HUGE job, but it is super valuable in alliance growth. We get attacked much less because we aren’t the juicy targets we once were because we aren’t storing resources for high-levels to swoop in and steal. Give them an extra 1-Day Shield or two. When they are asking for resources or to trade resources, give them a good deal or just give it to them outright. Unless you want to be the banker…

The hardest thing about the bank is finding a good banker to manage it. We’re lucky in that aspect that we have a very tight-knit group of players that trust each other. And he’s a great player that is willing to put in the extra effort to make the alliance better. He is rewarded for this work. If he ever needs a resource we will always trade him evenly for what he needs, or even just give it to him out of gratitude for what he does. But finding that key person to do the job is very important, as they have to be available to withdraw from the bank and trusted with hundreds of millions (even billions) of resources.

This idea works great for our guild to protect our resources. Prior to that I was just shielding up every time I worked towards something big, or I took my chances that I wouldn’t get attacked (and lost this bet multiple times). What does your alliance use to protect their resources?
