Game of War: Fire Age – Account Recovery

Game of War: Fire Age – Account Recovery, Without a doubt, the number one question I get e-mailed and asked about is, “How do I recover my Game of War: Fire Age account that I lost?” I empathize with people that ask me that question because I’ve owned several accounts and have ‘lost’ one myself. Unfortunately, the correct answer for most people is that you can’t recover it because the account is gone. But losing your account in almost all cases is completely preventable and I’ll tell you how.

Usually when I receive an e-mail from an account someone lost, it goes something like this:

“My phone was damaged so I replaced it through my service provider. I reloaded the Game of War: Fire Age app back onto my phone. How do I get my account back?”

“I created a secondary account but now I can’t get back to my primary account. How do I load up my primary account again?”

“I had to do a hard reset on my phone (or iPad) and lost everything. Can I recover my Game of War: Fire Age account?”

For those that haven’t really looked into it, Machine Zone (specifically for Game of War: Fire Age) has virtually no customer support. In their Terms of Service they essentially put the majority of the burden on the consumer (you). They basically “reserve the right” to do whatever they want. When it comes to actually supporting you that comes in very limited form. They’ll do resets for major bugs or exploits and refund you your money if you purchased during the rollback period. They provide server security to protect you data such as payment information. That’s pretty much it.

Basically things that are almost universally standard practice in the gaming industry they’ll do. Account support is not really one of them, which is strange to me because most major games have at least some sort of customer support for accounts. HOWEVER, if you really want to give it a shot and try to recover your account, you can contact them via their support e-mail at ‘support@machinezone.com’.

The best way to recover your account is protect it in such a way that you never have that problem in the first place. As soon as you create a Game of War: Fire Age account and finish the starting tutorial, go to the +More button in the bottom right corner of the screen and select Accounts and Devices. Then you’ll create a Machine Zone account attach it to your Game of War: Fire Age account. This is the number one safety against losing your account. The only account I ever lost was the one account I didn’t do this to.

Attaching your e-mail account to your game account also allows you to play that account on multiple devices. For example, you could play your account on both your iPhone and iPad.

You can also set a Pin Code to the account which provides double security in preventing unauthorized access. In addition to that, you can activate Device Registration on your game account. This prevents someone from logging into your account, even if they have your password and Pin, if they are attempting to do it on an unauthorized device. This provides triple security for your account when used with the other protection options.

Honestly, they really set you up to be able to safely use your account if you follow through with those steps. The problem is, they don’t make those steps mandatory so many people don’t do them. Almost all of the e-mails I receive regarding account recovery could have been prevented if the players used these steps prior to losing their account.

Also, if you play multiple accounts, you’ll need a different e-mail address for each account. I used mail.com to create additional e-mail addresses that I only used for creating additional Machine Zone accounts for Game of War: Fire Age. I recommend using as short of an e-mail address as possible, so when you’re switching between accounts you can minimize your typing time.

So if you haven’t connected your Game of War: Fire Age account to a Machine Zone account using an e-mail address, do it right now. I consider this mandatory for the game or you will eventually lose your account at some point. Adding a Pin and using Device Registration is up to you, but I would recommend those steps as well.

Game of War: Fire Age – Crafting – Finding Crafting Materials Video Guides

When it comes to getting crafting materials in Game of War: Fire Age, there are a few different ways you can get them. You can do quests that will sometimes give you a bonus of a crafting material. You can open a material chest that you either earned or purchased with gold. Or you can find them while farming a resource tile. Right now I want to focus on farming resource tiles for specific crafting materials.

Game of War: Fire Age – Guide to Defense – Basics Video Guides

The more I play Game of War: Fire Age, the more I am impressed with the overall depth of the game. The building, the crafting, the warring system, and the alliance aspects of the game are all very well thought out and have both a depth and variety that I haven’t seen in a mobile game before. Today I wanted to go over some basics of defense that really work at any level in the game, whether you’re just beginning or have been around a long time.

Game of War: Fire Age – Building Setup – Outside Your City Video Guides

Probably the most common question I get asked in Game of War: Fire Age is something like, “How many of each building do you have?” It’s not a very easy question to answer and is going to depend a lot on your play style. So I decided to do a two-part post about the topic. This first post will discuss how many of each building I have on the outside of my city (Farms, Mines, Quarries, Logging Camps, and Gold Mines).

Game of War: Fire Age – Guide to Attack Video Guides

Here is a quick Game of War: Fire Age – Guide to Attacking checklist. I cannot take credit for this list. This was sent to me by Knotai of Blood and Breakfast 3 on the Terra (#24) kingdom. This is generally already what I did before attacking someone, but he laid it out in a very great format that I think is easy to understand and in general works for almost anyone.

Game of War: Fire Age – Troop Balance Video Guide

For most of my time in this game, I’ve tried to balance out my troops evenly. I try to have an even number of the highest tier of troops I can make. So I’ll have the same amount of Infantry, Ranged, Cavalry, and Siege troops. I think that if you don’t really have a specific strategy, you can’t go wrong with this one.

I’ve heard people say that Infantry troops are the most common, so you should run heavy on Ranged. I’ve also heard people say they run all Cavalry because they are the fastest troops and march speed is really important to them. I’ve also heard people say they build what they have the most bonuses in. For example, if their Cavalry bonus was extremely high, they started focusing on Cavalry troops.

Just watch on the video below:

Game of War: Fire Age – Troop Balance

Game of War: Fire Age – Troop Balance, In Game of War: Fire Age, I’ve been getting a lot of questions on troop balance. Basically, other players are wondering if I focus on one type of troop (Infantry, Ranged, Cavalry and Siege), do I balance them all evenly, or do I have some sort of weird split. So I’m going to do a quick review of troop balance in the game.

Game of War: Fire Age has a modified Paper-Rock-Scissors setup for their troops. Infantry are good versus Cavalry, Ranged are good versus Infantry, Cavalry are good versus Ranged, and everything is good versus Siege, but Siege are good against Traps. Traps are good versus one type of unit (Infantry, Ranged or Cavalry) but are weak versus Siege. They also have additional attributes as well, besides just being good versus a specific type of enemy.

Infantry – Second slowest but second highest load capacity

Ranged – Second fastest but second lowest load capacity

Cavalry – Fastest but smallest load capacity

Siege – Slowest but biggest load capacity

On top of that, the higher tier a troop is the slower it is. Also, the higher tier the troop is the bigger the load capacity. So the Tier 4 Siege (Onager) is the slowest troop in the game but has the highest load capacity. These are just good things to know so you can pick your own strategy for troop balance.

Although I use a balanced approach for the most part, I can definitely see the appeal of picking one type, lets say Ranged, and completely focusing all of your bonuses on that type. You socket gems that give bonuses to Ranged in all of your hero’s gear. You focus hard on researching Ranged bonuses in your Academy. And you focus on skills for your hero that improve your Ranged bonuses. This would all add up to some incredibly bad-ass Ranged troops for you, right?

Well, I haven’t gone to that extreme so I am still running a balanced setup. I recently acquired a Level 6 Cavalry gem that gives +25% to Cavalry Attack. I’m also crafting a Level 5 (Purple) piece of equipment with a large bonus to Cavalry Attack. I will be doing some testing with Cavalry-only marches to see if that type of troop balance can be effective in attacking people.

In the end there are pros and cons to both approaches: the balanced approach versus the focused approach. I say do what works for you. You can’t go wrong with a balanced approach, but if you suddenly find yourself with a bunch of high level gems for one type of troop, maybe you could give the focused approach a try. I’d like to hear about your experiences using, and fighting, balanced armies and focused armies!
