Game of War: Fire Age – Crafting – Finding Crafting Materials, When it comes to getting crafting materials in Game of War: Fire Age, there are a few different ways you can get them. You can do quests that will sometimes give you a bonus of a crafting material. You can open a material chest that you either earned or purchased with gold. Or you can find them while farming a resource tile. Right now I want to focus on farming resource tiles for specific crafting materials.
There are a total of twelve different crafting materials in the game currently. I have listed these crafting materials in a previous post. Here is that list:
Game of War: Fire Age – Crafting Materials List
Cloth – Troop Health Bonus
Feather – Food Production
Glass – Research Speed
Hide – Troop Defense Bonus
Jewelry – Silver Production
Leather – Troop Load
Marble – Siege Attack
Metal – Cavalry Attack
Parchment – Construction Speed
Plating – Infantry Attack
String – Ranged Attack
Timber – Trap Attack
There are five different types of resource tiles you can farm. Each of these resource tiles gives one type of resource. But they also have a chance for you to randomly find one, or multiple, crafting materials whenever you gather from the tile. Here is what you can gather and find on each type of resource tile.
Game of War: Fire Age – Resource Tiles
Camp – Wood – Feather, Leather, or Timber
Farm – Food – Hide, Parchment, or String
Fort – Silver – All Basic Materials
Mine – Ore – Glass, Metal, or Plating
Quarry – Stone – Marble, Cloth, or Jewelry
So to explain this a little further, if you send your troops to gather on a Farm tile, they will automatically gather food for you. In addition to this, you have a random chance to find a String, Parchment, or Hide crafting material. In fact, you can find multiple materials each time you gather on a tile. For example, you could find both a Parchment and Hide crafting material by gathering on a Farm tile once. Or, you could find two String crafting materials by gathering on a Farm tile once. I have not yet found three materials at the same time while gathering on a tile.
So if you are trying to gather Feather crafting materials to work on increasing your Food Production, you should try farming as many Camp tiles as possible. Over time, you will randomly start to get those materials and can turn them into valuable items for your hero.
One further note, as far as I can tell the level of the tile determines the maximum level of the potential crafting material you can find. So if you are farming a Level 4 Fort tile, you have a chance of finding a Level 1-4 Jewelry crafting material. You do not have a chance to find Jewelry at Level 5 or 6 though because the tile is only Level 4. That is one added benefit of farming on higher level tiles.
