Game of War: Fire Age – Crafting – Construction Speed, In Game of War: Fire Age, you can craft a set of equipment for your hero that helps you construct your buildings quicker. Anything that has Parchment as a crafting material will give you bonuses to your Construction Speed. You only need to equip these items when you decide to upgrade your building. Once you have started the upgrade process, you can go back to having your hero wear their normal gear. You do not have to wear the gear during the entire construction process to take advantage of the speed boost. You only need to wear the gear with Construction Speed bonuses when you initially begin the upgrade process to take advantage of the bonuses. I’ve been asked that a lot, so that’s why I said it twice (and underlined it).
Due to how the items work, it can be a good idea to create an entire “Construction Speed gear set” so you can really upgrade your buildings with a minimal amount of time. Here are some items I recommend for each slot when you are building a Construction Speed gear set. Please note, I rarely ever build any items that are less than Level 25. So for the most part, I ignore items that are lower than that level but I will mention them in case you are interested. Also, I am not going to include special holiday items as the materials for those can be very difficult to acquire. So lets get started!
Helmet Slot – There is currently only one basic item that increases Construction Speed in the Helmet slot and that is the Veil (Level 8). At Blue quality it gives you a 3.6% bonus. It is so low level that I don’t recommend even wasting materials on this item. This is more of a slot that you either want to get Food Production, Troop Load, or bonuses for fighting.
Armor Slot – Same thing as the Helmet slot. There is only really one item and that is Clothes (Level 1). At Blue quality it gives you a 4.4% bonus. It is so low level that it isn’t worth it either and it requires two Parchment pieces. I’d focus on items that increase your Troop Load, Troop Defense Bonus, Troop Health Bonuses, or other bonuses for fighting.
Foot Slot – Same as the Helmet and Armor slot! There are actually several items in this slot with Construction Speed, but they are all very low level. Sandals (Level 1), Cloth Boots (Level 1), Trousers (Level 2), and Cloth Leggings (Level 2). None of them are worth your time, but if you’re going to pick one do either of the Level 2 items. Both of them give you a 2.4% bonus at Blue quality. This slot is more for Troop Load or other bonuses for fighting.
Weapons Slot – There is one item that is possibly useful to you for Construction Speed and that is The Mallet (Level 15). It is the only basic item in this slot that gives that bonus. At Blue quality it gives you a 10% bonus. Not the greatest, but it can help a little bit if you’re really into creating a good set.
Accessory Slot(s) – Finally, a slot that is useful for what we’re looking for! The best item for Construction Speed is The Odyssey (Level 45). In fact, you’ll probably want to craft two of them (or three if you’re Level 21 and have that third accessory slot). At Blue quality it gives you a 33% bonus! You can potentially double or triple that with multiple ones. Another good option earlier is the Treatise (Level 30). At Blue quality it gives you a 16% bonus and has a bonus to Food Production. There is also the Scroll (Level 25). At Blue quality it gives you a 14% bonus and has a bonus to Silver Production. There are other items in this slot, such as the Code of Laws (Level 50) or other lower level items. But I would stick to the ones I mentioned above.
To be honest, the best thing you can do to create a Construction Speed set is build two good accessory items (preferably The Odyssey) with the best bonuses you can. If you really want more, try making The Mallet as well. If you really are nuts, get an item for each slot and you’ll be able to eek out the best bonuses that you can. It is really hard to make a good Construction set with the current items that are in the game. It is actually easier to make a good Research Speed gear set. In the future, I plan on going over what I do for that as well.
