Game of War: Fire Age – Stronghold Level 20, When I started playing Game of War: Fire Age, I always wondered how long it would take me to reach the highest levels. There isn’t a chart for you to read on how the game scales as you level, you kind of just have to figure it out for yourself. I figured I’d give you a little information on what it takes to ‘Upgrade’ your Stronghold to level 20. This is what I refer to as, the “soft cap” in the game with regards to level. That is because you can attain it without any money invested into the game. If you want to get to Level 21 (the “hard cap”), that’s a different story…
STRONGHOLD – LEVEL 20
Build Time
- Original Time: 38d 12:38:19
- Real Time: 12d 21:14:38 (this number will vary for you)
I reduced the original time by researching up to Construction Level 7 (7%), Hero – Construction Mastered (40%), Hero – Construction II Mastered (65%), and two ‘The Odyssey’ books (33% each / Blue – Level 4) equipped in my Hero’s two accessory slots. There were other items I could have crafted to lower the overall construction time, but I still managed to chop it down to about one-third of the original time. It listed my total Construction bonuses as 199%. Sometimes the math in this game confuses me…
Requirements
- Watchtower Level 19
- Walls Level 19
- 14,528,829 Wood
- 14,528,829 Stone
- 7,264,422 Food
- 5,812,640 Ore
This took me a long time to get. You have to remember that the Watchtower Level 19 requires Barracks Level 19, which requires the Quarry Level 19. And the Walls Level 19 require the Forge Level 19, which requires the Mine Level 19. And each of those requires millions of additional resources. You have to gather those large quantities of resources quickly and make sure to protect them. Having twenty to thirty million resources stored while you’re gathering them all up makes you a HUGE target to enemies.
Upgrade Reward
- Alliance Help Max +1
- March Size: +25,000
- Hero XP: +20,000
- Power: +166,250
Getting to Stronghold Level 20 is a huge step in the game. You can get to that point without spending any money on the game. However, it is the point where you have to decide if you are going to try to make that leap to Level 21. That leap will cost you a lot of real money to do, so it’s not a step to be taken lightly. You can definitely compete at the highest levels when you’re Level 20, but realize that anyone who has put the money in to get to Level 21 will have small advantages over you. But that’s just part of the game!
